I made it to my sister's house last night around 7:30pm. It only took me three hours from work which was FABULOUS! I enjoyed my subway sandwich for dinner, although my sister's boyfriend stopped by with Taco Bell. I was going to say no, but nachos sounded so good, so I splurged on nachos supreme. Nothing like sour cream at 9pm!
This morning we got up and went for a hike! I know what you're thinking. Where does one hike in LA? After driving 15 minutes north, east, westish, we ended up at Fryman Canyon trail. Its pretty steep in the beginning and I could definitely "feel the burn" on the way up. Luckily there was quite a few shady places (with benches) that we stopped a to take water breaks.
We took my sister's dog, Sam, with us on the trail and he enjoyed meeting the other million dogs that we encountered. They even had a drinking fountain just for dogs at the top of the loop!
My favorite part was the downhill! :) I felt accomplished that I was able to get a workout in during my vacation and my sister and I enjoyed some good quality time.
